Account & Data Deletion Guide

We respect your right to delete your account and all associated data from Mommy Check. This guide explains how to permanently delete your account and what happens to your data.

⚠️ Important Warning:

Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. All your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Please make sure to export your data before deletion if you want to keep a copy.

What Data Will Be Deleted?

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

Personal Information

  • Account details (name, email, phone number, profile picture)
  • Date of birth and personal preferences
  • Location and nationality information

Pregnancy & Health Data

  • Pregnancy profiles and tracking data
  • Due dates and pregnancy stage information
  • Menstrual cycle and ovulation tracking
  • Weight, BMI, and body measurements
  • Blood pressure and blood sugar readings
  • Sleep, exercise, and step tracking data
  • Contraction and baby kick logs
  • Mood, symptom, and journal entries
  • Nutrition and calorie tracking
  • Habit and medication tracking
  • Medical reports and documents

Community & Content

  • Questions asked and answers provided
  • Community posts and comments
  • Likes, votes, and interactions
  • Saved content and favorites
  • Content viewing history and progress

App Integrations

  • HealthKit and Google Health Connect sync data
  • Fitbit integration tokens
  • Push notification tokens

How to Delete Your Account

Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Mommy Check App

Launch the app on your device and make sure you're logged in.

Navigate to Your Profile

Tap on the "Profile" tab at the bottom of the screen.

Access App Settings

Scroll down to the "App Settings" section in your profile.

Select "Delete Account"

Tap on the "Delete Account & Data" option.

Export Your Data (Optional)

You'll be given the option to download all your data before deletion. This is your last chance to save your information.

Review Deletion Information

Read the information about what will be deleted carefully.

Confirm Your Decision

Check the confirmation box to acknowledge that you understand the deletion is permanent.

Final Confirmation

Type "DELETE" to confirm and tap the "Delete My Account" button.

What Happens After Deletion?

Immediate Actions

  • You will be immediately logged out of the app
  • Your account will be permanently deleted
  • All your data will be queued for deletion
  • You will receive a confirmation email

Data Removal Timeline

  • Immediate: Account access is revoked
  • Within 24 hours: All active data is deleted from our databases
  • Within 30 days: All backup copies are deleted
  • Within 90 days: All archived logs and records are removed

What's Not Deleted

For legal and security purposes, the following may be retained:

  • Anonymized analytics data (no personal identifiers)
  • Transaction records for accounting (if applicable)
  • Data required by law to retain
  • Security logs for fraud prevention (anonymized)

Exporting Your Data Before Deletion

Before deleting your account, you can download a complete copy of all your data in JSON format. This includes:

  • Your complete profile information
  • All health and tracking data
  • Your questions, answers, and community posts
  • Saved content and preferences
  • Medical reports and documents

The export file will be provided as a downloadable ZIP file containing JSON files with all your data.

Alternative: Temporarily Deactivate Your Account

If you're not sure about permanent deletion, you can contact support to temporarily deactivate your account instead. This will:

  • Hide your profile and data
  • Prevent anyone from accessing your account
  • Preserve your data for potential reactivation
  • Allow you to return later if you change your mind

After Deletion: Can I Create a New Account?

Yes, you can create a new account using the same email or phone number after deletion. However, all previous data will be gone and cannot be restored.

GDPR & Data Protection Rights

This deletion process fulfills your rights under:

  • GDPR Article 17: Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • CCPA: Right to deletion of personal information
  • HIPAA: Right to control your health information

Manual Deletion Request

If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, please contact us at privacy@armoraa.com with:

  • Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • Your registered phone number
  • Confirmation that you want to delete all data

We will process manual deletion requests within 72 hours and send you a confirmation email.
